New York City-based architect Anjie Cho brings an Eastern philosophy to her work, balancing the energy or “chi” in a room with extant or new furnishings. She can also draw upon her expertise as a feng shui-licensed designer.
Yet, in this Upper East Side apartment, what was really needed was a complete overhaul of the space. So Cho and a small team did what she calls a “full gut” renovation.
“A full gut renovation means usually you take a whole apartment and you move walls around and you generally do floors, [add a] new kitchen,” she says.
