Mindfulness in the Galleries: Ikebana
Hosted by the Noguchi Museum
Join us for a special edition of Mindfulness in the Galleries with mindful ikebana teacher Anjie Cho and experience Isamu Noguchi’s artwork and the art of ikebana, Japanese flower arrangement, as a practice of presence. Participants will begin with a guided meditation and conversation in the museum galleries, before exploring form, shape, balance and emptiness in the way of flowers and creating simple ikebana arrangements with seasonal flowers and branches as a form of moving meditation.
Advance registration is required. No previous experience with ikebana or meditation is necessary. Program fee includes admission to the Museum and all materials will be provided. Please email education@noguchi.org with questions.
